So, here’s the list of the awesome markets in Porto:

Porto has various types of markets. Generally, there’s a really big market culture here. From food to antiques. You have the permanent markets and the periodical markets.

We put a list of great markets for your benefit.

Porto Belo

Location, location, location! Porto Belo is the most popular market Probably because of its location. Its in the middle of everything. You can’t miss it.

It takes place every Saturday afternoon, and there is pretty much everything there to get. Interesting clothing, old cameras, records etc. you can also get interesting types of food, listen to great music and often great sun.

How do you get there? It’s a 10-minute walk from the São Bento train station. Praça de Carlos Alberto, 4050-157.

Clérigos market

Every second and last Saturday of the month from 10:00-20:00 you have a great opportunity to go antiquing or looking for any other bargen you may want to buy. Its lots of fun.

How do you get there? It’s a 10-minute walk from the São Bento train station. R. de Cândido dos Reis 6-136.

Feira da Vandoma

Many year ago, the students of Porto started selling the books they didn’t need anymore. The ball started rolling and this awesome market came to be. At this market you can find second-hand products and we mean any type of product.

This traditional secondhand market of Porto is held every week on Saturdays, from 8:00-13:00.

How do you get there? It is a 10-minute walk from the Estádio do Dragão subway station. Avenida 25 de Abril

Bolhão’s temporary market

Want fresh produce from nearby farms? Here you can get that. You can also get great freshly baked bread, Prtuguese cheeses and sausages, fish, seafood and dried fruit.

Flea Market

This is where people go to sell their old stuff. Many people from Porto have spent many Saturday afternoons at some point in their life selling their old goods. Here it’s a cultural thing to sell old things.

You can literally find nearly anything at this market.

Note: The Flea Market often changes locations, so make sure you find out in advance where it would be when you are in porto.

Mercado do Bom Sucesso

A beautiful market with amazing light and lots of space.

This food market has many different types of food, so if you’re having trouble deciding what to eat with the people you are with, this is the perfect spot! At Mercado do Bom Sucesso there is pizzas, sushi, risottos and much more. Just so that you know, there are also vegetarian options. All this you can get and much more, such as, a great cocktail or a nice glass of wine to go with your meal.

This food market is very close to Casa da Música and the synagogue of Porto, so it might be a strategic place to have lunch when you plan to visit these places.

How do you get there?it is a 10 minute walk from the Casa da Música subway station. Praça Bom Sucesso 74-90.

Mercado Beira Rio

At Mercado Beira Rio food market there isn’t as much light as the others, however, there are great restaurants such as Barriga Negra (have the Petiscos). Besides that, its right next to many of the great Port wine lodges. So, after you went to a fabulous wine tasting you can come here and have a great lunch while enjoying the rest of your day.

How do you get there? the cable car is right in front of this food market. Otherwise just take an Uber/taxi. Avenida de Ramos Pinto, 148
