In the Belem neighborhood there is a beautiful collection one of the most important collections of horse drawn carriages in the world. These carriages were used in Lisbon during the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries. The museum is in an old riding school which was inaugurated in 1905. The distinguished horse-drawn carriages on site are quite the sight to the eyes and decorated in a magnificent fashion.
